“Your Motawi Tile reflects the classic style and craftsmanship of the historic Arts and Crafts potteries of early 20^th Century America. It’s a tradition we’re proud to carry on.

In our Ann Arbor studio, we form tiles from locally produced clay and hand-mix our glazes to our own recipes. Our polychrome tiles use a “raised line” “cuenca” technique, while our bas-relief tiles are hand-dipped in glazes designed specifically for their variation.”  - Karim and Nawal Motawi
